9 Ideas To Create Grounding Rituals

Every morning, I sit down with my warm brew and cozy up to my journal. ⁣

⁣I share a moment with myself that belongs to no one else. ⁣

⁣I sip my coffee and sigh.⁣

⁣Another day arrives.⁣

⁣This is my ritual.⁣

⁣My daily action that anchors me in the present and marks the moments of my life.⁣

⁣When life gets tangly and terrible, and I don't know which way is up, I find peace in knowing that my ritual is always a steady ground to stand on.⁣⁣

It roots me down into myself. ⁣

⁣Rituals are important. 

They’re processes we repeat that plant us to the core of who we are, or who we want to be. 

It’s easy to climb out of bed and run to our laptops without batting an eye.

It’s easy to skip intimate moments of connection without selves, for another couple hours of work. 

But what for?

Rituals are what bring me back to who I am. 

Here are 9 grounding ritual ideas: 

1.Light A Candle

Stare into the flame, or don’t.

Enjoy the moment of peace.

2. Journaling

Fill the pages with reflections, dreams, feelings or whatever comes to mind. 

3. Walking Outside

Schedule a time every day to take a break and connect with the Earth.

4. Meditation

Take 10 minutes to just breathe. 

5. Masturbation 

Yes, you read that right.

Self pleasure is the ultimate way to connect with yourself. 

6. Speaking Affirmations

Because what you focus on, grows.

7. Dancing

Shake off old energy and step into a new beat. 

8. Cold Showers

Resets the central nervous system and brings us back to the present.
